The Kobo.com website (a major online bookseller) in Taiwan has shown my ebook among the Top Books in Taiwan in All Categories this month! The ebook Life at the International House: Season One was top in its category in Young Adult Ebooks in School and Education, a category traditionally dominated by the Harry Potter novels and includes new Young Adult New York Times bestsellers!

This is the book that I created for my freshmen English class at the university here in Taiwan. Although it is exciting to see the book selling well, it is much more meaningful to read students’ reading reflection journals and know that the stories are having an impact on their lives.

My main character Karli, a Mexican immigrant in the US, is a freshman journalism major with the potential of a prodigy and is destined to change the world, but first, she must grow through trial and error and learning life lessons to become the woman she was destined to be.

If you or anyone you know is a young adult or new adult in college, you would love this little treasure of a story.
