This novella was published in a short-story anthology entitled Second Chances. Dave’s story is a contemporary young adult romance set in the Bavarian Forest of southern Germany. Dale Goodwin and Claudia Schiller met as children in one glorious summer when they became best friends and fell in love. Five years later, Claudia is about to enter university with a controlling boyfriend who has stolen her freedom. Now all she dreams about is that boy she fell in love with when life was simpler and love was not so complicated. If only he would keep his promise to return to her one day.
