What is it?

A series of bilingual (English/Chinese) children’s adventure stories written for the Taipei Zoo in Taipei, Taiwan (copyright Taipei Zoo). First published in 2025 for distribution to teachers and educators for use in their classrooms. Now published online as ebooks to read for free! Audiobooks (partly voice-acted by the author) also included to listen to online! Suitable for children ages 11-15.

What is the story about?

Twelve-year-old Annalisa is lonely during her summer break before junior high school. She finds comfort in going to the nearby zoo and being with the animals. She calls them her friends. One day she meets a boy her age named Dino, who tells her that he is from the future. He has come back to find her because the world needs her help. Some of the endangered animals today are in trouble because they no longer exist in his future. With the help of Dino and his futuristic gadgets, the two of them journey to the endangered animals’ natural habitats. Can Annalisa discover the secret to saving her friends before it is too late? Come find out and join the adventure!
